If you wish to change your monitor settings on a PC running windows, this is how you can do it.

Click on Start> Settings > Control Panel
Select Display
Then choose the Settings Tab
Move the slider on Screen Area to 1024x768 or more to suit.
Click Apply then OK to change settings, then Yes to keep them or No to readjust again, in which case you can repeat the process.
